Hanna was feeling a little less on edge right now. Her mother thankfully got Veronica Hastings to get the blood test order thrown out. For now at least. It was something.

Unfortunately, Maya's website didn't exactly give the girls the answers they thought it would. They were mostly videos of her declaring her love for Emily. It was sweet and sad at the same time. She knew Emily was both sad and grateful to see them.

Hanna

There was also the message from 'A' she received after classes today, one that threatened Caleb. She debated whether she should take it seriously. Why was 'A' making her go home on a freakin' school night? She wouldn't be that upset about it if she was in Rosewood. He or she threatened Caleb, though. She had to go.

She was extremely antsy as she waited outside the Apple Rose Grill. When Caleb himself showed up in his car, she immediately spazzed at him.

"Caleb, what are you doing?" she asked frantically as she approached the car. "You have to leave!"

Caleb

"Hanna, get in the car," he ordered gently.

Hanna

"No! Listen to me. You have to go now, Caleb, please," Hanna pleaded.

Caleb

"Hanna, I sent the text," Caleb said a little more forcefully.

Hanna

It took her a moment to process what he was telling her. "What?"

Caleb

"I'm 'A'," he told her, looking somewhat menacing. Hanna was actually scared.

Hanna

He couldn't be 'A.' No, no, no. This could not be happening. She felt as if her world were crashing down around her.

Caleb

"Get in!" he demanded.

Hanna

Maybe it wasn't one of her smarter decisions, but she did as he asked. She got in the car, waiting for him to explain himself. It wasn't until he had driven them to a secluded area of Rosewood that she got an explanation.

Caleb

"Hanna, look at me." Caleb's voice was much gentler. "I know you're scared. But 'A' isn't going to find us out here."

Hanna

Hanna's fear was now replaced with anger. He tricked her. She was partially impressed by that as well. It was the perfect way to find out what she'd been hiding.

"I'm not scared," she replied. "I'm freaking out! You think you know what's going on, but you don't!"

Caleb

"You showing up at the Grill proves that I do," he pointed out.

Hanna

"Oh, right. So you figured out there's another 'A' out there," Hanna said in an exasperated tone. "You don't even know what that means!"

Caleb

"It means that you don't have to be alone with this," Caleb gently replied.

Hanna

Hanna shook her head and got out of the car, not wanting to discuss this anymore.

"It's not that easy, Caleb," she said, still frustrated. "This person dug up a grave and stole a body. This person might have killed Maya because she knew something she shouldn't have."

She tried to compose herself before dropping her next bombshell. "'A' ran your mom off the road. 'A' flew to Montecito to scare the crap out of me and it worked. That's why I couldn't tell you what was going on. I wanted to, but I couldn't. You think I would have let you walk out the door if I had a choice?"

She could see the understanding in Caleb's eyes. The understanding of why exactly she kept this all from him. 'A' put his mother in danger. Hanna had to admit, it did feel good to finally get all of this out with someone who wasn't one of her best friends.

Caleb

He walked closer to her, taking her face into his hands. It felt nice and safe...

...until she pushed him away, seemingly afraid of something he didn't understand. Being with her couldn't put his life in that much danger, could it?

He asked her about Maya's website instead, and he tried to think of ways to figure out who killed her. The faster they knew that, the faster all of this could be over.

Hanna

"I don't want to go down this road again with you," Hanna sighed.

Caleb

"It could be someone close to you. Another Mona," he said. "Are you prepared for that?"

Hanna

"Then I'll deal with it," Hanna said tiredly. Sighing, she added, "Look, this isn't easy for me! I missed you so much, it has made me do crazy things!"

Caleb

"You're talking to the guy who kidnapped his sorta girlfriend," Caleb said, making a good point. "For the record, I am gonna help you stop 'A.'"

Hanna & Caleb

With that, he leaned closer, pulling her into a kiss. It was the kind of intense kiss she wasn't about to stop. She didn't push him away this time. It felt right when he pressed her against the wall, the encounter intensifying more passionately than she had planned. When he started to remove her jacket, she knew what that meant. She knew where that was going to lead. As much as she hated herself for her next move, it was for the best.

Hanna

"We can't," she breathed reluctantly. Though they were in a secluded area, they were still outside where there were potential prying eyes. Prying 'A' eyes.

This time she did push him away. "We can't do this. We can't see each other, okay? Not until it's over."

Caleb

"Hanna..."

Hanna

"No, I'm serious," Hanna said tearfully. "I'm sorry. I hate this, but it has to be this way. I'm going back to school, okay?"

Caleb

"At least let me drive you," Caleb insisted. "One less train ticket to pay for."

Hanna

"You sure you can stand to be in the car with me for two hours?" she asked sadly, wiping away tears.

Caleb

"How can you think I couldn't stand you? None of this ever changed how I feel about you," Caleb assured her.

Hanna

She smiled. "I never stopped loving you, you know? That's not going to change either."

He held for a few moments. She didn't want him to let go. She didn't want to let go of what they had.

'A' still dictated her life in this way.
