As usual, a lot had gone on in Rosewood while Hanna was away from it.

For instance, the other girls discovered a mask maker in town, one who made a mold of Alison's face. So there were a lot of Ali masks out there. They also discovered Melissa's face among the masks. This was extremely suspicious to Hanna, and so she begged Spencer to ask her about it. In Hanna's mind, Melissa was guilty and trying to pin it all on her mother.

There was also her father's involvement now. She'd spoken to Caleb often about what's going on, mostly by phone. Caleb took it upon himself to talk to her father about it, letting him know Hanna and her mom might be in trouble. Her father revealed that her mother had been to his house the night Wilden was murdered, and that his gun was missing. That was, in Hanna's opinion, pretty damning evidence against her mom.

Then there was the fact her mother's privileges at the bank, such as handling safe deposit box keys and walking clients to them, had been revoked because Wilden's had passports and a gun in it. Apparently having a gun in the box was against bank policy or something, and her mother should not have allowed it. A new FBI agent lady, Linda Tanner, made sure of it. She and the new cop, Holbrook, were serious business, unlike the Rosewood PD had been.

This was all too much. She was beginning to think, maybe Melissa wasn't the guilty one. That's what lead her to Spencer's house. She and Aria were standing in her kitchen. Hanna knew she'd been a bit snippy with both of them lately, all due to worry about her mom. This time, she was quiet and subdued.

"Hanna?" Spencer asked, waiting for her to speak.

Hanna looked down, trying hard not to break down after her next revelation. "I think my mom killed Wilden."

She didn't want to say it out loud, but there it was.

Spencer immediately went over to hug her. "I'm sorry, Han."

Aria was equally sympathetic. "Maybe it's all a big misunderstanding?"

Hanna shrugged. "I don't know anymore. I wish Wilden had never come into our lives."

That was another thing for Hanna to feel guilty about. She was the reason he was in their lives. It all started with a stolen pair of stupid sunglasses.

Spencer went on to explain what she learned from Melissa. She'd, apparently, been shady in an effort to protect Spencer. She said it was Wilden who set the fire that nearly killed them, and that Shana and Jenna were just watching the girls to see if they'd meet Red Coat. They weren't there to harm them. Melissa believed Wilden was working for someone, possibly Head A.

Hanna's head hurt. There was just so much to keep up with.

She could return to Fandom tomorrow and not think about all of this for awhile. She wasn't fooling herself, though. It'd be on her mind constantly, no matter where she was.
