Apple Rose Grill, Rosewood - Saturday

As promised, Spencer and the others made sure to let Hanna know about any new information they found regarding 'A' and this new mystery and alias of Alison's. That's why she made yet another trip home to Rosewood. She met with her friends at the Apple Rose Grill, their favorite hangout besides their own kitchens.
Apparently they figured out that the claim ticket Hanna and Spencer found was for a red coat that Alison normally wouldn't have worn. It was all part of her Vivian Darkbloom persona. In the coat was a phone number. While Hanna was in Fandom, the other three called the number and met with the person on the other end, someone named Jonah. He had information for 'Vivian' about who may have been sending Alison threatening phone calls and texts. Obviously, 'Vivian' never got the chance to receive the information.
Unfortunately, Jonah was supposed to be paid by 'Vivian' and was a bit disgruntled that he hadn't been. He was asking for two thousand dollars for this information. None of the girls had that kind of cash on them.
"So I came all this way for nothing, then?" Hanna asked, disappointed.
"What, an hour away by train?" Emily teased.
"Well, maybe I had major plans for tonight?" She didn't.
Spencer looked very suspicious, and Aria was trying not to giggle.
"What?" Hanna demanded. "Am I missing out on a joke or something?"
That's when their server brought out a birthday cake with 17 candles on them.
"We can't be there next week for your actual birthday," Emily explained.
"So we're celebrating now," Aria finished.
"Awww, you guys!" Hanna could feel tears welling up, happy ones for a change.
"Happy birthday," Spencer added, hugging her from the side. "Make a wish!"
Hanna's wish was simple. She wanted to find out who 'A' was so they could all be finished with this torture and move on. She wanted everyone to have peace of mind and to feel safe. That wasn't so much to ask for. Wishing for it couldn't hurt, and so she blew out the candles with that thought in mind.
After cake there were presents. First, Hanna gave the girls their Rio souvenirs, jewelry for three of them and a fancy book of photos for Spencer. The girls then gave Hanna birthday presents. Aria gave her a Sephora gift card, Spencer gave her a really pretty silver bracelet, and Emily gave her a gift basket full of bath and body products.
"Now you won't have to steal any lotions for awhile," Emily said, smirking somewhat.
"Spoil my fun," Hanna said, joking. "No seriously, thank you for this. All of you."
"We have one more surprise," Aria said, looking behind Hanna.
She turned to see Caleb standing there, laptop in hand. He took a seat. "Happy birthday."
She smiled, preparing to hug him, when they were interrupted by Garrett in his police uniform. Apparently, he had been following Caleb and wanted to make his grand entrance while the girls were there, too. He had a sick smirk on his face. To Caleb, he said, "I'm going to have to confiscate your computer."
They were all protesting when Garrett revealed that the police received a tip that there were stolen school files and credit card information on the laptop. 'A' was likely setting Caleb up. Or Garrett himself. Maybe they were both the same person.
Caleb was forced to hand over the laptop, but he wasn't being arrested. Not yet. He didn't give up his password either. Garrett vowed to be back with a separate warrant for the password.
"I knew something like this was going to happen," Hanna said fearfully. "You were helping us and this is what you get for it."
"We're so sorry for dragging you into this," Spencer added. "We'll figure this out."
"Well, we have some time," Caleb said. "There's no way they're breaking my password on their own."
Hanna grinned. He would have a super complicated password, wouldn't he? It probably rivaled Spencer's.
For now, there wasn't much that could be done. All they could do was wait.
