Rosewood, Pennsylvania - Sunday Evening

Today had been pretty eventful. Days in Rosewood usually were. It all started with a visit from a friend...at least Hanna thought they still were.
Lucas stopped by earlier to hand over some money he owed Caleb. He didn't know where he was living now. Hanna promised to give it to Caleb, and then tried to get some answers from him. He didn't divulge much, though he dropped the bombshell that Mona had been leaving Radley often without anyone knowing. Hanna always believed that place had the worst security ever.
She begged Lucas to tell her why, but he was terrified. He seemed like someone who knew he said too much. This did explain why he'd gone from adorkable puppy to creepy and dark. Maybe 'A' had something on him. She didn't get a chance to find out.
After all of that, she sat down with her laptop to check her email. That's when she discovered a new video from Mona.
"Before you turn this off or throw something at the screen," the video began, "please just hear me out. I've been in Radley for nine months, and I want to tell you what I've been through..."
Hanna couldn't believe what she was seeing. Mona was very convincing in this video. She was sure everyone would be falling for this, too. Hell, even Hanna was a little. If Mona was trying to get people on her side, she was likely going to succeed with this.
"Please know, there is nothing you can throw at me, no insults or meanness that I haven't already beaten you to the punch with. I've moved past that stage, and I'm ready to take responsibility for all of the meanness and insults I've thrown at you..."
Give her the Oscar now, Hanna thought to herself.
She was so happy when Caleb stopped by. She needed cuddles right now.
"Have you seen it?" Hanna asked, her head against Caleb's shoulder.
"Yeah, I think the whole world has," Caleb replied. "It's gone viral."
"Great," Hanna sighed.
There was a part of her that felt bad about this. She was partially the reason Mona was this way. She just stood by and let people treat Mona like a loser all those years ago. At the same time, she was angry. Mona hurt her and her friends so badly, and now she was going to have fans?
"Hey, can you do me a favor?" Hanna asked. "Can you talk to Lucas? He knows more about what's going on with Mona. Also, I think he just needs his friends back, you know?"
Caleb nodded. "I'll talk to him."
Hanna hugged him. "I just want all of this to be over."
Caleb just held her as she vented. It was all she needed to feel a little better.
