Room 425, Monday

Hanna returned to Fandom late last night. It took her almost the whole day to say goodbye to Caleb and then her friends. Their group hug alone could have lasted forever. It was necessary after everything they had been through together. Leaving her mom was the worst part, because Hanna knew she wouldn't be back to Rosewood for awhile. Her mom knew it, and even promised to visit so Hanna wouldn't have to go back.

Being in Fandom couldn't make her forget, though. This time, when she remembered some of the things 'A' had done, she saw the face to go with it all.

She shuddered, and then turned the music on her laptop on. The less quiet it was, the better.

Hanna blinked in confusion. "There aren't weekends where you're from?"

She wondered what days they used for fun things and for having days off.

"Well, the days just kind of all run together?" Rapunzel answered with a sheepish sort of grin. "At least, I never really thought about things in terms of weeks. Just seasons and stuff."

"It took some getting used to."

"Maybe it would be easier to let weeks run together," Hanna said thoughtfully. "I think sticking to a particular schedule makes some people way uptight."

"Well, it's certainly very..." hmm... "structured?" Rapunzel grinned slightly. "I think mother would like it."

"I think all parents like structure," Hanna replied. "It's their way of keeping an eye on us, I guess."

"You think so?" It was entirely possible, Rapunzel had to admit. But she didn't have a lot of experience parents other than mother.

"Oh totally," Hanna said. "My mom likes to know my schedule so she knows where I am at all times."

Not that Hanna entirely kept to the schedule her mom knew.

Rapunzel nodded. "Mother is like that, too."

She sighed. "She is going to be so upset when I finally manage to get home."

Hanna frowned at that. "Maybe upset with worry, but she wouldn't get really mad, would she?"

"I don't know?" Rapunzel ducked her head sheepishly, peeking up through her hair. "Sometimes it can be a little hard to tell with her?"

"For what it's worth, I hope you do find a way home somehow," Hanna told her sincerely.

"Thank you," Rapunzel said softly, smiling slightly. "I'm really glad you're my roommate, Hanna."

"I'm glad you're mine, too," Hanna said. "Really."

She even got up to give Rapunzel a hug. What? Hanna was more appreciative than ever for her friends.

Yay hugs! Rapunzel squeezed Hanna gratefully. "I guess we both got lucky," she declared happily over Hanna's shoulder.

"Definitely," Hanna agreed, smiling softly.

Eventually Rapunzel relaxed her grip and stepped back slightly. "So!" she chirped with a grin, "You haven't told me about your trip home." It had been good, right?

"It was...okay," Hanna said after thinking about it for a moment. "There was a masquerade ball."

Rapunzel was so sweet and didn't think badly of anyone. At least that's what Hanna assumed. She didn't want to tell her how awful people can be...even if, in the long run, it was probably better for her to know.

The truth was that Hanna had a pretty good read on Rapunzel. She was, in many ways, still very innocent. She knew bad things happened, she'd seen the news on TV after all, but it was all kind of... distant.

"Oh, that sounds fun. Dancing and dresses, like the one we had!"

"And masks," Hanna added. Masks that finally came off for some.

"Those were a lot of fun," Rapunzel grinned encouragingly.
